Happy Birthday America!!!

I just love the 4th of July! I'm not really sure why because I usually don't do anything but I just do! Something about singing the Star Spangled Banner just makes me get excited! Call me weird I know! I love to watch the fireworks too. I remember growing up watching the fireworks and they were beautiful and big and colorful. I love how that loud boom just echos in your chest. It's just great.

So tonight we went to the fireworks display in El Dorado and I was sooooo disappointed. :( It was the worst thing I have ever seen. We sat in the old brookshires parking lot and most of them didn't even make it over payless. We could hear them though. Then here came the grand finale. It was silent!!!!!! No noise at all. I guess we were having a moment of silence to pay respect to years past. I'm really not sure. I honestly can't believe I wasted my gas to drive to town. Maybe next year I can go out of town to watch the fireworks.

Besides the fireworks display, the day was absolutely wonderful! Cricket and I got a lot accomplished this weekend. We cleaned Ashleigh's room so now you can actually walk in it. We cleaned the middle bedroom and we hung a new door in the baby's room. We have decided to replace all of the interior doors in our house. I am so excited because it makes our house look so much better on the inside. I wish that we could afford to do all of them at one time but we can't. We are going to replace one each paycheck! Can't wait until all of them are done.

I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July, I know I did! Happy Birthday America!
